Two familiar faces with familiar Jobs

A word not all of us are accustomed to hearing when it comes to news surrounding the Oakland Raiders: they have selected and signed Carson Palmer´s backup quarterback, someone that Palmer happens to know very well. The Raiders have signed Matt Leinart to a one year deal to be the backup QB, Leinart who was picked 10th overall in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft by Arizona has had anything but an easy time as a pro. R.I.P Junior Seau!

The NFL community along with the millions of fans across the world has been hit with the horrible news of the death of all-star Linebacker Junior Seau. Saeu was a veteran player in the NFL who is mostly remembered for his long stay with the San Diego Charges from 1990 when he was drafted in 2002, he then signed with the Miami Dolphins for three years, then with his final team the New England Patriots, where he retired in 2009. His death cause is still to be confirmed, but from what other experts have seen, it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound that killed the athlete. Read the rest of this entry »

Top 3 NFL Free Agency Winners

The number one winner out of the entire group must be the Denver Broncos, but not simply for the acquisition of all-star and future Hall of Famer quarterback Payton Manning, but for the release of Tim Tebow (not because he was not a good player). It allows the Broncos now to move on, they had made it clear that they did not want to play offense the way Tebow knew how, they wanted to go into a different direction, as well as getting the circus out of town and concentrating on football. They still have a lot of work to do as a team both on the Offensive line to protect their new star as well as getting a better receiving core to make Manning’s job that much easier. Brandon Jacobs has a new team

They made it to the NFC Championship game last season for the first time in almost a decade and although they lost to the New York Giants in overtime by a field goal because of a fumble, no one can argue that the San Francisco 49ers were not the better team, they made better plays under pressure and beside that one mistake, they were flawless. Well, they seem to know they can do it again, resigning most of their roster and then some, picking up free agents like candy, which really was the one place they were lacking and now, they just got that much better. Tebow has a new team

It was announced a few days ago that one of the biggest free agents in the last decade had decided to take his throwing talents to Denver and sign a 5 year, $96 million deal with the Broncos franchise… and as we all know that man is quarterback Payton Manning. But just a few months ago, executives from the Broncos franchise had said that their then quarterback Tim Tebow, rookie out of Florida, was their starting quarterback and they were very happy with him. Two days after acquiring Manning, Tebow was on the block, looking for a new team, because Denver had made it clear that they did not want to continue with him and his style of play, apparently the Broncos reported 2 teams that express interest in the young QB, one was the Jacksonville Jaguars and the other was surprisingly the New York Jets, who had just offered their starting QB Mark Sanchez an enormous 3 year deal worth $40.5 million dollars. Busy offseason for the 49ers

The best two words to describe the San Francisco 49ers season last year would have to be both amazing and memorable. Despite the fact that they had not made the playoffs in over a decade, the Cinderella team fell short in the last game of the year before the super bowl, losing to the New York Giants in overtime by a field goal, produced by a 49ers fumble on a punt return. But what was mostly lacking from last year´s impressive run was a reliable wide receiver, given the fact that our best wide out is actually out tight end makes it a little harder for our QB to move around in the pocket with the lack of help.
