NBA 2011-2012 Season will it happen?

So what the heck is going on this season when it comes to Professional sports in the United States of America? First it was the NFL that started a lockout with the players and the owners and they are still in the same mess with no one really knowing what is going on and what is going to be the outcome. It is a sad time because for all of us the fans we are just waiting to see what happens, because one thing that I am sure of is that there is nothing more than what I would love than to sit home on Sundays and watch American Football.

Could the rumors that are circulating about Yao Ming retiring be true? Or simply an advertisement scheme to bring a little notice to a team that has struggled the last few seasons and have failed to make it to the playoff the last two seasons. Failing to make the playoffs is not just showing a lack of effort and good play from the players, but the team also losses out on a lot of extra income that comes with making it to the playoffs.

Seattle Storm face a Weak Washington Mystics Squad

Seattle is coming off a tough loss on the road against a tired Connecticut Sun in Connecticut the final score was 70-75 in favor of the Sun, but one can`t judge a book by its cover the same goes for a final score of a basketball game for the most of the time. Teams will start to foul coming down the last second and shoot three pointers left and right in order to try and tie the game which at times brings the final score a lot closer than what the game really was and other times it lets the leader go further ahead.

Seattle Storm face Connecticut Sun

The Seattle Storm is coming of a win on the 24th against the Minnesota Lynx with a score of 65-55 at home and the game before that they beat Tulsa in Oklahoma with a final score of 82-77 which to be honest was not that impressive at all considering that Tulsa can`t seem to beat anyone, but that is a whole different story, the Storm is riding high on confidence and look to continue the good play come Friday when they face the Connecticut Sun in the Mohegan Sun Arena.

San Antonio Silver Stars – New York Liberty

Friday July 1st we will get the chance to see the San Antonio Silver Stars in action again when they travel to New York to play in the Madison Square Garden against the New York Liberty. Both teams have started their seasons pretty solid, but it is the Silver Stars that have jumped started this season and have currently only lost one game and stand at an impressive 7-1 for the season.

WNBA – Phoenix Mercury at Indiana Fever

With the NBA season over and the Playoffs final it was time for the WNBA season to get under way with the league split up into two conferences the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference this Tuesday 28th at 7pm the teams of the Phoenix Mercury and the Indiana Fever will be playing one another in the Conesco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

WNBA Los Angeles Sparks Visit Connecticut Sun

Tuesday we will be able to watch the Los Angeles Sparks play the Connecticut Sun at 8pm eastern which will be aired live on ESPN2 throughout the entire United States. The Sparks will travel to Connecticut to play in the Mohegan Sun Arena which was named after the owner of the Sun whos name is Mohegan Sun the team was first founded in 1999 in Orlando and was named the Miracle, but when it move to Connecticut it was name the Sun in 2003 and that is what is to date.

San Antonio Silver Stars Travel North To Face Chicago Sky

The last game of WNBA Tuesday is that of the San Antonio Silver Stars that will be travelling up North to play the Chicago Sky at the Allstate Arena, these two teams are so far apart in more than one way not just by the distance, but also that the Silver Stars are on paper a much better team and much more experienced team. The Silver Stars are off to another good start currently standing at 5-1 where as the Chicago Sky are 4-4.

Kyrie Irving NBA Draft Number One Pick 2011

So the NBA draft finally arrived here and it was not to the surprise of many that the Cleveland Cavaliers who had the number one pick and the number four pick that they Picked the sensational point guard of Kyrie Irving after he only played for Duke Blue Devils for one season. This young player has all the talent one can imagine and he played his heart and soul out in his final game wearing the Blue Devils uniform. Even though it was a tough loss for Duke when they lost in the Sweet Sixteen to Arizona it was great to have watched Irving put up twenty-eight points in his last college game.

NBA Finals Dallas Mavericks Ready for Miami Heat
