Nash to General Manager Position?

Born February 7th 1974, in Johannesburg, South Africa but moved to Canada at a very early age, Steve Nash has not only made a name for himself in the NBA as a top point guard but also in Canada for his reactiveness with the youth and basketball. Nash will not only be the captain of the Canadian Basketball team that will shortly begin its work on the road to the London Olympics but he was named General Manager of basketball operations in Canada. Meaning that from now on all basketball related business will go through him; although it seems like a lot for just one man to handle, Nash is no regular man, he is a Canadian man and he has said that it not only an honor but a duty. Kobe vs. Jordan

In all honesty there is not real comparison to the greatest NBA player that ever played the game, but extracting from the big picture there are many of the smaller things that stand out in Bryant’s favor than you would think. Starting with the surrounding cast, during Michael Jordan’s reign he had one of the top teams the game has ever seen which provided much more opportunities than most can understand, what I mean by this is that with Scottie Pippen in the steals department, Dennis Rodman and Horace Grant pounding the boards and the great assists from Paxson gave Jordan many more fast break opportunities than Kobe has gotten. Round 2 in the East…

This sets round two of the eastern conference playoffs in full motion when the Indiana Pacers travel to South Beach to match up with the Miami Heat. The Heat will have the slight advantage in this best of 7 game series based off of their regular season meetings where the Heat took 3 of the four games played. While the Pacers know that they did not play their best, this is the postseason and the slates are wiped clean. Another difficult first round for the Knicks

After last season’s very disappointing loss to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the postseason, they decided to pick up during the offseason as much fire power and defense as they could, given the fact that they were swept by the Celtics for lack of defense. Although they had invested in Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire, they still needed a bench, point guard and a defender, something they did not really have the cap room for, but moving some people around and getting big names at a great price made things work. The Heat looking to sweep the Knicks

After Amar’eStoudemire punched through a protective glass window after game 2 loss to the Heat and cutting his hand open(requiring medical attention), it left him and his team in a worse place than 10 minutes earlier down 2 nothing in the first round of the playoffs… because now he is going to miss game 3 at home, leaving the Knicks shorthanded again, literally. Thunder looking to sweep the Defending Champions

The Dallas Mavericks are coming off the best season they have ever had last year, having won the NBA Championship, they thought they could do it all again, even after letting go of the main reason they won, their defensive weapon Tyson Chandler. This is what the Oklahoma City Thunder has in mind and they have the weapons to make that happen. Defensive player of the Year is…

This NBA season has brought more to talk about than a woman´s club after a week off, there has been so many changes and records and now, just a few days after announcing that Gregg Popovich had won coach of the year, we now have the defensive player of the year, someone who has changed the face of their franchise; not as a scoring machine or a highlight star, but as a fortress under the rim, a knight guarding the painted area. His Name is Tyson Chandler; yes the same Tyson Chandler that helped the Dallas Mavericks win their first NBA Championship last season, only this time, he is attempting to do it with the New York Knicks. Magic are not done yet…

Just a few weeks ago everyone was saying that the Orlando Magic were done, finished, not to be worried about, but as they crept up and stole game one from under the Indiana Pacers feet, they turned heads. The Pacers were the third best team in the East, coming off one of their best seasons in over a decade. They knew that they were the hunted, not the hunters, they had proven everything during the regular season. Knicks lose real defense

The New York Knicks were absolutely demolished by the Miami Heat coming out of game one of their possible 7 game series; their defense was nonexistent and as far as their offense, well, it was an off shooting night to say the least. Unfortunately the Knicks lost something more than just a game, their leading defensive player, a rookie beyond all out of Georgia Tech named Iman Shumpert and the player responsible for guarding key of opponent player such has Russell Westbrook, Paul Pierce and Manu Ginobili amongst others. This is a must win for the Knicks

This is the first and last game for both of these two squads, as they finish up their season and get ready for the playoffs, but this game has the potential to play a huge roll on where the New York Knicks end up in the Eastern conference, because with a win here and a loss from the Magic, would mean that the Knicks could possibly make the 5th seed instead of the 6th and play Indiana instead of the Miami Heat to whom the Knicks lost two out of three in the regular season. The Clippers for their part are in and are not too interested in moving up at the risk of injury, they know what they have and what they can do, so rest will be key to their success.
