Golf Betting Picks: Tiger Woods

Tiger back on top!

Tiger Woods was for what seems to have been an eternity regarded as the greatest golfer to ever play the game. He has won 14 Major Championships, 16 world championships and leads all golfers in PGA tour victories at 72. He has always been the humble, low key guy that is simply great at what he does, family man that keeps his personal life out of the media, but loves to fool around when the time is right. He has been inducted into the California Hall of Fame as well as being named Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the year; his close friends include some of the greats such as President Barak Obama and Oprah Winfrey, to name a couple. Golf Betting Picks Europeantour Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles

Europeantour Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles

This week the Europeantour will be travelling to the country of Scotland to the home of the Gleneagles Hotel where the players will face a nice layout and at the same time test worthy of their games. The tournament is still of a young age since it was first played in 1999, but over the years it has built its own reputation due to the great layout of the golf course and that the course is always in a immaculate state and along with that there is nothing better than to play one of the last events of the season in order to try and rack enough merit in order to secure a spot at the Andalucia Masters. PGA GOLF Championship Betting Lines Steve Williams and Tiger Woods bringing out the Dirt

Steve Williams and Tiger Woods bringing out the Dirt

For those of you out there that watched the World Golf Championship last week it was a refreshing view to see Aussie Adam Scott get another win under his belt. One thing that impressed me personally was the way he went about his business not letting the Steve Williams and Tiger Woods mess get the better of him or even to get involved with it.

Scott simply played his game and it reminded me of a few years ago when he was winning more often yes he has switched his putter, but that personally was just a mental thing it happens to us all. Once ones putter is no longer holding the putts that one expects to make during the round then it is time for a change and most of the times a change is good for ones game and for ones confidence. Evian Masters will be considered 5th major in 2013

Time has finally come for the LPGA to give the right amount of respect to the Evian Masters that is played every year on the Ladies European Tour. The tournament was originally founded in 1994 and the tournament is played every year on the Evian Masters Golf Club the event was always considered as an major on the European Tour, but the LPGA did not consider it one, maybe to the fact that they already have the British Open on European soil, but come 2013 that will change because the LPGA has decided that they will finally adopt the event as a major.

Few Amateurs at British Open, but they can all play!

There are always a few amateurs who make it to the British Open and when they do they earn all the respect from their playing competitors and rivals the same and the professionals in the field admire the way they play and that they are still loyal to the game due to not having joined the paid ranks like themselves. The few amateurs that actually make it into the final field will compete for the Silver Medal which is awarded every year to the lowest finishing amateur in the field whether they make the cut or not has nothing to do with it all.

British Open- Two unlikely leaders after first round

The one thing that you can always be guaranteed of in a major championship is that there are plenty of odd stories to be told and there are always names in the top part of the leaderboard whom one would never have expected to be there in the first place. WE have no become accustomed to amateurs making runs at regular tour events and even catching our attention at majors, so was the case at the US Open when young Californian Patrick Cantlay who took low amateur honors at the US Open and he also set the lowest back nine score for the tournament.
