We are one week away from the French Open the second Grand Slam Tournament of the year, when most players are taking a rest and getting ready for the Grand Slam, some players are still playing other events and trying to get more World Ranking Points and others are just trying to cash in on another nice pay check. |

This event on the ATP calendar did nearly not happen this year, it was all mayhem when the old sponsor ARAG decided to discontinue their partnership with the event. Then came the worse part the organizers were not able to find a new sponsor so they originally first of all cancelled the team event for this year, but then came a miracle and it was in January that Power House came to the aid of this event. |

The 2010 Australian Open will be a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It will be the 98th edition of the Australian Open, and the first Grand Slam event of the year. Roger Federer had contested 20 Grand Slam finals prior to his 3-6, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2 loss to Juan Martin del Potro in the 2009 US Open final, but he had only taken defeats to one man, Rafael Nadal, during the five occasions he was unable to hoist the big trophy. The Singles winner prize either for men and women is $1,500,000 which makes this tournament a really interesting option. The total purse of the event is $20,657,000.
