
Friendly games and preparation are taking place for all teams around the world, the local tournaments are about to start in a couple of weeks and they want to be in the best shape possible to conquer the glory this year. Because of this fact, fast tournaments are being played in different parts of the world and there’s one that gets played in England, The Emirates Cup.
This year 4 teams fought for this trophy, from the best leagues in the world these teams joined each other in London specifically in the Emirates Stadium, home of the Arsenal FC from the English premier League the hosts of the tournament. Also Celtic FC from the Scottish Premier League, AC Milan from Serie A and the Olympique Lyon from the French Ligue 1 played this special cup that year after year is taking more importance because it finishes the preseason for most of the teams that play it.
Managers of each team put to test their young players to give them a taste of what’s coming on their local leagues and a little of what they can expect in the international scene.
This year Arsenal FC was the winner of the 2010 Emirates Cup after winning 1 game and a tie in the other one, all this in one weekend. First game for the gunners was against The Italian giants AC Milan and the game ended in a draw 1 – 1, the goal for the gunners was from Marouane Chamakh and for Milan Alexandre Pato. On Sunday morning Arsenal played against the Celtic FC and they won 3 – 2, the goals for Arsenal were from Carlos Vela, Bacaray Sagna and Sammir Nasri, for Celtic cored Murphy and Sung-Yueng. With that score the Gunners proclaimed as the 2010 winners of the Emirates Cup.

After this cup the gunners are ready to kick off the Barclays English Premier League on august 15th against the Liverpool FC a very tough game for Arsenal but they need to start with the right foot of they want to end the drought of championships in England.
