The US Open Tennis Competition is going to start this August 31st and is going to end on Sunday September 13th. The Singles winner prize either for men and women is $1,500,000 which makes this tournament a really interesting option. The total purse of the event is $20,657,000. The PGA Barclays Professional Golf Tournament is starting this August 27th and will last until August the 30, 2009. This is one of the most important tournaments in the calendar and I am sure that the winner share is one of the options that attracts lots of professional golfers to it. The venue will be the beautiful Liberty National Golf Course located in Jersey City, New Jersey.

One more time the Boston Red Sox will receive the New York Yankees in a game FULL of rivalry. We can tell that the definition of rivalry was born in the games between these two teams and this game is not going to be an exception. August 8th at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the 101st version of the ultimate fight championship. Once again the event was held at the United States hence the huge amount of fans that attended the event. The main fight between Penn and Florian was really good and showed the entire world who is the one that deserves the win.

This year the New York Jets{9-7} wants to do a similar job, that Baltimore Ravens{11-5} did last year, With a rookie Head Coach and Quaterback, they went all the way to the Playoffs, This year the Jets have a rookie Head Coach in Rex Ryan, [who last year was Baltimore's old Defensive Cordinater] and rookie Quaterback Mark Sanchez[coming from USC] they feel that they have enough Good Players, to take them to post season. The Sharpie 500 NASCAR competition is going to start this Wednesday August 19th. The main race, the Sharpie 500 will be taking place this Saturday at the Bristol Speedway at Tennessee, USA. The competition will be starting at 7:30 PM ET.
Last year Carl Edwards captured his second straight Sharpie 500 win by edging Kyle Busch at the World’s Fastest Half Mile. So, that gives us a clue of the rivalry we can expect from those two pilots. Busch is an excellent pilot and he has such a great team of work behind him.
The Wyndham Championship is going to start this August 17th and is going to run until Sunday August 23rd. The venue will be the Sedgefield Country Club at Greensboro, North Carolina and is going to be televised either in TGC and CBS.
This championship is one of the biggest ones of the PGA TOUR. The purse is listed to be $5.1 million with a share of $918,800 to the winner. Also, one of the goodies is the 500 FedExCup points that are ready to be taken by the winner.
These Two Teams have been to the Playoffs regularly as of late, not seen them in the playoffs is strange, but this year the Philadelphia Eagles{9-6}, Only have five players remain on their roster from the Super Bowl XXXIX team, While the Indianapolis Colts{12-4}, have a healthy Peyton Manning and are expected to have 20 players returning, it’s a good bet they’ll be back in post season, with eighth straight postseason appearance (and 10th in the last 11 years) and seventh consecutive 12-win season.
