The Boys of Baseball are back, for one last hurrah at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. At the end of the season, “The House that Ruth Built,” will be closed for good, leaving behind it a life time of memories. From famous boxing fights to hundreds of World Series games, but not without one more famous game, the All-Star game. In years past the All-Star game was little more than an exhibition, with players from both sides smiling and having a good time throughout the duration of the game. However, a few years ago that all changed, when it was declared that the winner of the All-Star game would win home field advantage for the World Series for their league. Since that ruling in 2003 the American league has won every single Summer Classic. In fact, the American league hasn’t lost an All-Star game since 1996, the closest coming a 7-7 tie in 2003, which sparked the needed importance of the game, showing that it was unacceptable for it to end in a tie.
