So the college basketball season is well under way now and we are starting to see what teams are really supposed to be there or not. The Kentucky Wildcats have not shown us much at all thats for sure with their 4-3 season so far. Is this what has really become of a team that is known for its talent and hard play? Could it be that its about time to get rid of Toby Smith and look for a new coach?
Marquette’s Golden eagles were on a rampage until they had their perfect season blown away by North Dakota State University an un ranked squad, that probably shocked the whole nation well at least all of whom gamble. The Huskies of UConn are showing a lot of potential and I personally hope they have the type of squad that can give them a run for the National Championship title.
Would also like to take a chance to give a small update on my four sleeper teams for this years season. Southern Illinois are currently 6-1 but have yet to crack the top 25 ranking, I am sure if they keep up the strong play that it won’t be long before we see them ranked. University of Nevada is at 6-0 and are ranked number 24th, my own favorite the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are 6-1 and are currently ranked number 21st. My last sleeper team for this season was the Shockers of Wichita State University whom are 6-0 and are ranked 17th.
The main question that I have on my mind right now is if Florida is going to keep up the strong play, or will we be going to see Ohio State, UNC, Maryland or Pitt taking the lead and proving that its no longer like the old days when the Duke Blue Devils and Cinnci and Kentucky were the teams to fear
