The Valero Alamo College Bowl is going to be played between the Texas Tech Red Raiders (8-4) and the Michigan State Spartans (6-6). The game will be held at the Alamodome located at San Antonio, Texas and is scheduled to start at 9:00 PM ET. The game is also going to be televised on ESPN.

Mike Leach’s season was marked with several up-and-down performances. Leach’s offense never found any real continuity under one quarterback as injuries resulted in the use of three different starters over the course of the season. The Red Raiders looked like world beaters in a blowout home victory over Oklahoma and a strong road performance in a loss at Texas. But they also struggled in an embarrassing home loss to Texas A&M and were lucky to beat Baylor in their regular-season finale.

We can see some of the numbers from the team in order to choose who is the safer option to pick at the day of the game. Here we have some stats

On the total yards we can see that Michigan State has a total of 407.1 yards getting at the 41st place at the ranks while Texas Tech has a total of 461.8 yards getting at the 7th place at the ranks. At the same time, on the Passing yards we can see that Michigan State has a total of 276.9 yards getting at the 30th place at the ranks while Texas Tech leads the ranks with a total of 405.8 yards getting at the 2nd place at the ranks. Also on the Rushing yards we can see that Michigan State has a total of 135.9 yards getting at the 79th place at the ranks while Texas Tech has a total of 81.1 yards getting at the 115th place at the ranks

The Spartans offense also must step up in a game that should feature plenty of points. Quarterback Kirk Cousins and wide out Blair White must find gaps in the Red Raiders’ defense. The teams meet for the first time, and Michigan State makes its first trip to the Alamo Bowl since 2003.

This game has the look of a mismatch, as Texas Tech’s high-powered offensive attack will be pitted against a suspension-ravaged Michigan State team that ranked 96th in pass efficiency defense, 103rd in pass defense and allowed 29 touchdown passes. The underrated Tech defense played better than expected this season but will be tested by MSU’s pass-and-catch combo of Kirk Cousins and Blair White.

The LIVE LINES are ready. Take a look at the odds in order to choose who the option for you at the game is. I really think that Texas Tech is the team that will step up during the game and I really have faith on them to win against the Spartans. More line information here.
