The Sheraton Hawaii Bowl is going to be celebrated at the Aloha Stadium located at Honolulu: Hawaii. The teams that will play against each other are going to be the Nevada Wolf Pack (8-4) and the Southern Methodist Mustangs (7-5). The game will be kicked off at 8:00 PM ET and is going to be televised nationwide on ESPN.
SMU will be playing in its first bowl since 1984. Ironically, the Mustangs may feel like they’re going up against the Pony Express when they face a Nevada rushing offense that is the best in the nation, with three 1,000-yard rushers. SMU coach June Jones is returning to the islands for the first time since leaving the University of Hawaii for SMU two years ago.
SMU will be playing in its first bowl game since 1984 after notching its first seven-win season since that same time. Coach June Jones, who is in his second year, returns to Hawaii for the first time since leaving that program after leading the Warriors to a BCS game.
“I told the players I didn’t really think it would really soak in yet,” Jones said after the Mustangs finished the regular season with a win over Tulane. “I told them they talk about the [early 1980s team] Pony Express; in 10 years they’re going to talk about you.”
Here we can see some stats from the teams that will make easier the fact of compare both of them in order to choose the right pick at the day of the game… we can see that the difference is clear between them.

• Nevada has 521.6 yards, being located at the 2nd place
• Southern Methodist has 379.9 yards, being located at the 61st place
Passing yards
• Nevada has 167.2 yards, being located at the 108th place
• Southern Methodist has 283.5 yards, being located at the 27th place

Offensively, SMU should be able to pass the ball against a Nevada secondary that is one of the worst in the country. Freshman Kyle Padron has played well ever since Bo Levi Mitchell went down with an injury and should have some success against the Wolf Pack.
