Brees’ show continues

New Orleans Saints (10-3) at Minnesota Vikings (2-11)
1:00 PM ET, December 18, 2011
Mall of America Field, Minneapolis, MN

This Sunday, at 1:00 pm ET, one of the hottest teams on the league will jump into the field once again to get things done, the New Orleans Saints leaded by Drew Brees and his powerful arm will face the shaky Minnesota Vikings at Minneapolis.

There’s no doubt the Saints are tough, leading the league on passing yards, they just crush almost every defense they have in front of them.

With Drew Brees on fire and having maybe his best season as a pro, this guys are just a perfect show to watch, but they also are a serious threat on the ground, with a running game ranked among the top 10 on the league.

They are great attacking, but the downside here is their defense, where they struggle a lot when it comes to stop the passing game, and that’s the only way you can stop this team, throwing the football downfield because their secondary has proven to be one of the weakest around.

The Minnesota Vikings keep on their weekly nightmare, getting on the field week after week to receive points against them either through the ground or the air, they are just uncapable of scoring, with a quarterback who still struggles to get the feeling of playing among the pros and Adrian Peterson despite of getting good numbers and having the team ranked 4th on rushing yards on the league he just can’t take the weight of this team on his shoulders, and if things weren’t awful enough, Ponder and Peterson are listed as Probables to play this Sunday.

New Orleans averages 448 total yards per game and 378.8 against, scoring 31.9 points per game and allowing 22 per game.

Minnesota has an average of 337 total yards per game while they allow 350.2, with 21.1 points scored per game and 28 points against.

The line here has New Orleans favorite by 7 points and there’s no way anyone would think about taking the Vikings here, bet on the Saints and sit down to watch the game and collect.

Minnesota just have to swim all game long against all odds and they will sink against the Saints and their offensive power, because when you can’t score, you see the other team score against you and that seems to be the faith for Minnesota this Sunday.
