The Arizona Wild Cats will play against the USC Trojans this Saturday December 5th at the Los Angeles Coliseum located evidently at Los Angeles California. The game is scheduled to start at 3:30 PM ET and is going to be televised at ABC nationwide.Arizona is 7-4 at the general winning ranking for the whole season and at the conference they are 5-3. The same thing for USC, they are 5-3 at the conference but the diference is that they are 8-3 at the general rankings for the season. In this case if we take a look at the numbers we can see that both of the teams are really close at the rankings for passing and rushing yards, at least in the magnitude of the number.
USC was still in the national championship picture in that game, but the Trojans are now fighting just to finish tied for second in the Pac-10. They could end up falling as low as sixth if they lose to the Wildcats, or earn the No. 2 spot with a win and an Oregon State loss to Oregon.
We can see that USC is 49th, 65th and 40th at the Total Yards, Passing yards and rushing yards respectively. We can see that the places does not look good, but is just becase they are at the mean values and all the teams are in that range.
The Trojans, though, are coming off Saturday’s 28-7 victory over UCLA and looking to strengthen their postseason position. They certainly didn’t appear disinterested as Matt Barkley passed for a 48-yard score with 44 seconds left in response to the Bruins calling time out with USC attempting to run out the clock.
“It is just the heart of a competitor, just battling,” coach Pete Carroll said. “We just wanted to win the game and have fun. When the moment was there, it wasn’t thinking about what (others) might be thinking. You are either competing, or you’re not.”
