There’s traditionally no tougher month on the calendar for the Jazz than December, thanks in large part to the team’s annual pre-Christmas trip. The Jazz will play nine of 15 games on the road, beginning with Friday’s game vs. Raptors.
The Jazz went 5-11 in December last season and only could lament it as the lost month that possibly cost them the Western Conference’s top playoff seed. This season, the Jazz will take an 11-7 record into December, having lost two home games in the past week.
“We don’t have the cushion that we had last year,” C.J. Miles said. “Last year we had a great start, we didn’t lose any games at home, we had everybody healthy until December. This year, we’ve lost a few more games than we did last year.

As a defensive team, the Raptors are far from perfect. But they feel as if they’re getting better.
And when you’re starting off as one of the statistically bad teams in the NBA, any small incremental improvement is welcome.
Jermaine O’Neal, the veteran center who returned from a two-game injury absence to face the Lakers on Sunday at Los Angeles, has seen improvement watching from the sidelines.
“Really, I think guys were just getting a little embarrassed,” O’Neal said. “I don’t want to be premature and say we’re over the hump, but the guys are really taking the challenge. You see guys are looking at the scouting reports a lot more before games, and that’s the great character of our team.

For sure I will bet on the  Raptors to win this match on Friday night.
