NBA TV will bring us another good game this Monday, November 2nd. Energy Solutions Arena, in Salt Lake City, will host the action between the visiting Houston Rockets and the home team, Utah Jazz. Both teams have a slow start this season (1-1 for Utah, 2-1 for Houston) and will try to get a win for their franchise this Monday, November 2nd at 9:00 P.M. Eastern Time.
Houston comes from defeating Portland on Saturday night, 111-107. Rockets’ offseason pickup, Trevor Ariza (coming from the Lakers), scored a career high 33 points, while Aaron Brooks added 28 points to give Houston their fifth straigh win at home agains the Trail Blazers. Both teams had a really high field goal efficiency (51% for Portland, 50% for Houston), hence the big final score for each team.
Utah, on the other hand, lost its first game but then bounced back with a victory agains the Clippers, 111-98. In those two first games, the Jazz have six players averaging more than 10 points per game, with Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer being the high points: 11 assists per game for the first one, 11.5 rebounds per game for the latter.
In the start of this season, both squads have a similar average in points per game and opposing points: 108 PPG and 106 OPPG for Utah, while Houston is 102 PPG and 103 OPPG. Based on this, we can expect a highly closed game and some big scores for both franchises. However, with Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady still out for injuries, the Jazz will have a strong man in Carlos Boozer in order to make sure the victory stays in Utah.
