Ford Field to host Marathon MAC Football Championship

This Friday the 2nd of December 2011 at 7pm will be the Marathon MAC football Championship between the Ohio Bobcats and the Northern Illinois Huskies.

The game will be played on a neutral field and this year it will be Ford Field that host the event located in Detroit, Michigan which is the home of the Detroit Lions.

For all you Mid American Conference fans the game will be shown live via ESPN2 and I personally think that this game is going to be a great one with two great teams that have played extremely well during the entire season.

The Ohio Bobcats are 9-3 for the season and 6-2 in MAC play and their opponents this Friday are 9-3 for the season and 7-1 in MAC play.

Both teams are great there is no doubt about that and it is the Huskies of Northern Illinois that are favorites by three and a half points and the total is sixty-nine and a half.

The game should be a high scoring game considering that both teams have explosive offenses and both have great Quarterbacks that have had more than solid seasons.

The winner this Friday will be determined by which teams defense will be able to slow down the opponents offense, because there is no doubt in my mind that there will be plenty of Touchdowns in both ends of the field.

It all comes down to who enters the End Zone more than the other side, and I for one fancy the Huskies to take this title home which their Quarterback Chandler Harnish.

Harnish so far this season has thrown for twenty-three touchdowns and only for four interceptions and he has been sacked only eight times, so that is just a great statement that he knows how to view the playing field and his offense line are also good at protecting him in the pocket.

He has so far thrown for a total of 2,692 yards and that is not the only place he does his damage this boy can also run the ball like no other.

He has rushed for a total of 1,351 yards and a total of eleven touchdowns.

If the Ohio defense does not find a way to stop him both via the end and on the ground then it could be a long tough game for the Bobcats, because Harnish will find away to score.
