Beaver Stadium, UNIVERSITY PARK, PA

After more than 6 decades as Penn State football had coach, the board of trustees of the university decided yesterday that effective immediately to dismiss Coach Joe Paterno.

Many of the football players deciding to come to Penn State was to play under the renown Paterno, one must think how difficult this game between Nebraska will be, where the players heads are and there will to actually go out and play with everything they have knowing that the person that taught them so much about the game and life will no longer be on the side lines.

Nebraska # 19 in the country is a strong relentless football team and even though this is just a game, it is still a must win.

The Cornhuskers are currently 7 and 2 but only 3 and 2 in their Big Ten conference, at the helm of this team we find Taylor Martinez the sophomore from CA who has been more then impressive with 1545 total passing yards and 10 td´s to go along with it he leads his team with confidence and pride.

The running game is sustained by Rex Burkhead who 951 yards on 187 carries and 13 touchdowns this season, then we come to Kenny Bell, the wide receiver who has slowly begun to make a name for himself this season with 19 catches for 265 yards and a pair of td´s.

The Nittany Lions were having a great season ranked # 12, the are 8 and 1 and a perfect 5 and 0 in there conference.

The only loss of the season coming in week 2 from the hands of # 3 ranked Alabama, Penn state has had good fortune with QB Mathew McGloin who has completed almost 56 percent of his passes for 1193 yards and 7 td´s with only 3 interceptions and there leader in the run game is none other than Siles Redd who this season alone has more than 1000 yards rushing and has found the end zone 7 times.

They also depend highly on Derek Moye who has had a slow catching season, but still performs well with 30 catches for 514 yards and 3 touchdowns.

I truly cannot see Penn state’s head fully in the game with all the distractions from this week’s scandals, Nebraska knows this and will try to take advantage of it early, I think this will be the Nittany Lions second loss of the season and it will be an ugly on at that, Nebraska’s a 3 point favorite in this game and that seems like a steal…
