Chippewas of Central Michigan take on the Golden Flashes of Kent State

Friday November 4th brings us a matchup in the Mid-American Conference between two teams that so far this year have not really done much at all. The game will be played at 8pm Eastern Time at the Dix Stadium, which is the home of the Kent State Golden Flashes in Ohio and they will be hosting the Chippewas of Central Michigan live via ESPN2.

In all honesty this game is not a very attractive one by any means and when I say that it is because both teams are having terrible seasons and pretty much look embarrassing. Central Michigan stands at 3-6 for the season and 2-3 in Conference play and the Golden Flashes are 2-6 so far and 1-3 in Conference play.

I am not sure how they came up with the spread, but as of right now it is Kent State that is a one point favorite and the total is a forty three points right now. If we take a look at the stats then I would have to say the bet is the under, why do I say that well Central Michigan averages 22.8 points per game which makes them number 93 in the Nation and Kent State is averaging only 12.8 points per game and are ranked 119th in the nation in scoring.

So far this year the most points that Kent State has scored in any game was on September 24th when they scored thirty-three points in their win against South Alabama and then they scored twenty-seven points against Bowling Green.

The only time that Kent State has scored more than twelve points was when they managed to win a game and that has only been twice so far this year. So if we follow the pattern unless they win come Friday the stats say they should score less than fifteen points. The other trend that I have noticed is that they lost three games then won one game and then lost three again followed by a win, so if the trend continues then they should lose their next three games.

It is pretty sad that one can be sitting here and saying that a team might lose the next three games, but that is not being all that fair to Kent State the only thing that I can say is that the game should be a boring and slow game.
