The BMW PGA Championship, as it is currently known for sponsorship reasons, is an annual men’s professional golf tournament on the European Tour. It was founded in 1955 by the Professional Golfers’ Association, and as such was originally called the British PGA Championship. This year is taking place from Thursday September the 10th and it will end on Sunday September 13th. The venue will be The Cog Hill Golf & Country Club located at the beautiful city of Lemont, Illinois.

The total purse of the competition is $7,500,000 with a winner share of $1.35 Million which makes this tournament a really good option to win. The purse is not the only good thing about the tournament; it also brings a FEC Winner’s Share of 2,500 points which is really good. The total tournament has a total of 7326 yards.

Dustin Johnson is one of the players that is earning serious consideration. He has international experience as part of the 2007 Walker Cup team. Also, Johnson got the 15th place on the Presidents Cup’s points list. In his last four competitions, Johnson has finished no worse than a tie for 22nd.
