On September 27th, the Indianapolis Colts will visit the Arizona Cardinals to close the NFL Sunday schedule. The game will take place at the University of Phoenix Stadium and is scheduled to start at 8:20 p.m. Eastern Time. It will be broadcasted on NBC.

The Colts have started the season strongly, with two victories in the first two games. However, they had a tough game last week against the Dolphins, who outgained them in yards, 403-356, and allowed the Colts to have the ball for only 14:53. That possession time was the least for a winning NFL team since 1977.

Nonetheless, Indianapolis rallied twice to tie the game and then take advantage, all that in the final quarter. The final result? 27-23.

The victory came in the Colts’ first game in the stadium since winning Super Bowl XLI there in February of 2007, and also moved Colts’ QB Manning past Hall of Fame Indianapolis Colts quarterback John Unitas into first place on the franchise’s all-time list for victories by a quarterback. Manning has 119 victories, and he also moved into sixth place on the NFL’s all-time passing yardage list, passing Vinny Testaverde (46,232 against 46,223).

The Cardinals, on the other hand, started the season with a loss but recovered last week with a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, 31-17. Although the top passer and top receiver for that game were on the Jaguars’s side, Arizona had
support in Tim Hightower, who rushed 72 yards, the most for any player in the game.

Comparing these two teams stats in the beginning of this season, with the same number of touchdowns scored and similar points scored and received, Sunday night’s game will be a close one, as the tight point spread can tell.

At the end, I have a hunch that the Colts may overpower the Cardinals at their own home and continue their perfect start this season.
