A battle of undefeated NFC rivals will take place when the Dallas Cowboys travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers. The Dallas Cowboys were expected to start off the year well, and continue it with a great run into the playoffs, but the Green Bay Packers weren’t quite sure they were heading after Brett Favre first retired, and then eventually became a member of the New York Jets. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has stepped in well, and while he may never fill the shoes of the great Green Bay legend, he is certainly on his way to making his own shoes. Rodgers has been great, completing 40 of 62 of his passes for four touchdowns and no interceptions.
So far, the Packers have taken out two division rivals. They beat Minnesota 24-19 on Monday Night football in the opening week and they defeated the Lions 48-25 last week.
The Cowboys have been just as exciting as the Packers. They traveled to Cleveland the opening week of the season and hammered them 28-10. This past Monday they defeated their division rival Eagles in what is being called one of the best Monday Night Football games ever, 41-37. With the exception of a minor slip up here and there, Romo has looked ready to lead his team to the postseason, also passing four TD’s, three of those to Terrell Owens.
Right now the line is even on this game. I favor the Cowboys by just a few points, despite the game being in Green Bay. The short week might hurt the Cowboys, but I feel they have played the better competition, and should be more adapt for another shootout, if needed, with the Packers.Â
