The game that I am referring to is that of the Arizona Wildcats playing the Cowboys of Oklahoma State University and they are playing at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Both teams won their opening games last week, with Arizona who is part of the PAC 12 beating Northern Arizona 41-10, which was no surprise given that Northern Arizona is not a very strong team. The Cowboys came out and beat Louisiana-Lafayette 61-34 and I for one was shocked to see them allowing so many points scored by Lafayette, but they did not disappoint with their high explosive offense. Right now the ninth ranked Cowboys are favorites to win the game with a spread of -14.5 and the total of the game is sitting at sixty-five points. If stats do us any good then I would have to say that we can expect lots of points being scored in this game and I wager that I personally like is the over on the Oklahoma State team total, they will score no matter what. Also if we take a look at last year`s results Arizona finished the season a disappointing 7-6 and 4-5 in conference play, they did however make it to the Valero Alamo Bowl where they lost 36-16 to the Cowboys of Oklahoma State and I don`t see the result being any different this Thursday when the tow team meet again. One thing that Arizona does have going for them is their Quarterback Nick Foles who threw for 412 yards in his first game and five touchdowns, their best receiver in game one was Juron Criner who caught 6 passes for a total of 151 yards and managed to score a touchdown. The Cowboys on the other hand had a great season last year going 11-2 and 6-2 in their conference play, but both their losses came at home to Nebraska who was ranked 16th and the time and their other loss was to Oklahoma 47-41 who were ranked 13th at the time. The Cowboys will look for their Quarterback Brandon Weeden to have another big game, in week one he threw 24-39 passes that was good for 388 yards and three touchdowns. They will also look to Joseph Randle who rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Either way let`s just hope we get a good game with plenty of touchdowns. |
