This year the New York Jets{9-7} wants to do a similar job, that Baltimore Ravens{11-5} did last year, With a rookie Head Coach and Quaterback, they went all the way to the Playoffs, This year the Jets have a rookie Head Coach in Rex Ryan, [who last year was Baltimore's old Defensive Cordinater] and rookie Quaterback Mark Sanchez[coming from USC] they feel that they have enough Good Players, to take them to post season. While Baltimore had a first year sensation, and feel like they should be back in post season againg this year.
Both of these Teams, are building for the future in these young Quaterbacks , New York is hoping that the young Quaterback’s combination of Mark Sanchez{22years old} and Kellen Clemens{26years old} will be there for a while, last game Friday night , this is a small preview of how they played , Sanchez completed three of four passes for 88 yards. And Kellen Clemens , competing with Sanchez for the starting job, completed all four of his pass attempts for a total of 24 yards and was sacked once in two series. inspite of how they played Jets loss 23-20 to Saint Louis Rams, Ryan, disappointed with the loss, said he wasn’t yet ready to name a starter for the team’s next game at Baltimore on Aug. 24. New York has a strong defense, the offensive line is strong as well, but they lack reciever’s to help with those young Quaterback’s .
While Baltimore shutout the Redskins 23-0 ,on Defensive coordinator Greg Mattison debut, Joe Flacco led the Ravens to field goals on his only two series, and Troy Smith tossed a touchdown pass, Flacco was 9 for 15 for 103 yards and Smith completed 14 of 30 passes for 200 yards, 15 of Baltimores playes caught passes last Thursday , as you can see they spread the ball around with 3 running back’s Leron McClain, Willis McGahee and Ray Rice, theres no choice but to spread the ball around, as long as they know were everybody is at, and don’t rely on the big plays, they should move the ball up and down the field at will, Terrell Suggs and the defense looks like they are finally coming around to there potential.
Flacco and the Ravens should be able to show, the other young QB’s why they went to the playoffs last year .
