|Tuesday we will be able to watch the Los Angeles Sparks play the Connecticut Sun at 8pm eastern which will be aired live on ESPN2 throughout the entire United States. The Sparks will travel to Connecticut to play in the Mohegan Sun Arena which was named after the owner of the Sun whos name is Mohegan Sun the team was first founded in 1999 in Orlando and was named the Miracle, but when it move to Connecticut it was name the Sun in 2003 and that is what is to date.|
The team has made the playoffs six out of the eight years it has been located in Connecticut and has won two Conference Titles, but it is still to have lifted a National Championship. The sun have come close to winning but the first year they made it to the final they lost 2-1 in 2004 to Seattle Storm and then in 2005 the lose 3-1 to the Sacramento Monarchs two years of heartbreaks.
The two teams have not played each other yet this year, but last year they played one another in two occasions with each team winning one of the games. The first game was played on June 18th in Los Angeles and that game was won by the Sun 78-75 the second time they played was on July 24th when they played in Connecticut and that game was won by the Sparks 89-80. The main difference when it comes to the two teams is that of Candace Parker the player that was picked as the Number one in the draft after she had helped the University of Tennessee to back to back National Championships and was voted collegiate player of year, this is a franchise player a player that can Dunk she can do it all and she is impressive on both sides of the court. Another thing that makes the Sparks separate themselves from the Sun is that they have won two Championships and they did so back to back years in 2001-2002. Tuesdays game should be a close game that goes back and forth numerous times and there will be lots of three pointers shot from both sides, not sure who will take the win but there should be lots of scoring in a game that should be going over the total.
