A tight game’s preview Houston Texans (10-6) vs Baltimore Ravens (12-4) Baltimore against Houston is by far one of the tightest games this weekend on the Divisional Playoffs and that’s going to be a really physical game, specially the defense from the Ravens, one of the best around the league. |

The Houston Texans come to this game after an easy win over the Cincinnati Bengals, taking great advantage of the Bengals mistakes on key moments of the game, but this week they should not expect that much of turnovers from the Ravens and now we all will see if TJ Yates should be taken seriously on the league because this might be his more difficult test since he got Houston’s starting quarterback job. Andre Johnson will have to step up downfield but the man who will have the greatest amount of weight on his shoulders will be Arian Foster, leading his teams as he has always done, this game will put him on the spotlight and he will be the Raven’s main target on defense as the Texan’s biggest threat. Baltimore closed their regular season at full speed and we will see if they worked on keeping that momentum alive on their bye week. This team has become a very compact unit despite Falco’s ups and downs all season long and the injuries. Their defense is nothing but scary, with tough guys who won’t hesitate on using all their strenght on every snap of the game. Ray Rice keeps being one of the biggest leaders on the team inside or outside the field, filling any play with his unique energy and courage. Torrey Smith has become an usual target for Joe Flacco and being a rookie hasn’t stop him from getting big numbers on every game. Baltimore is a 7½ point favorite here and the total is set on 35½, and I will say the way to go is Houston plus the points here, I see the Baltimore Ravens continuing on the playoffs but the spread is high enough to take more than a touchdown in your favor. Take the Texans and enjoy some physical football. |
