Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots
The New against the Old, the wise against the young and the veteran against the rookie… This is what this game boils down too, a three time Super Bowl and league MVP winner Tom Brady of the New England Patriots knows what is like to be in the playoffs, under the stress of performing or going home, the other Tim Tebow is the largest person in the NFL when it comes to the press, every move photographed, every word documented and every loss reminded over and over. |

The Rookie QB out of Florida has made a name for himself after stepping onto the field and bringing the Broncos back to life with a 6 games winning streak. Denver is an older team who desperately wants to be at the dance.
The Denver Broncos are coming off an almost impossible win over the heavily favored Pittsburgh Steelers, a great defense and calculated passes, with a little luck sprinkled on, allowed the Broncos to edge out the Steelers with an amazing 80 yard touchdown catch by silent receiver Demaryius Thomas in overtime. Tebow threw for 316 yards on that Steelers defense and 2 touchdowns, while also running for 50 yards and a rushing score. D. Thomas had 4 catches for 204 yards on the day with that last score being the only one for him, but Eddie Royal helped by catching 3 passes for 49 yards and scoring a touchdown late in the second quarter.
The New England Patriots have had a stellar season, like most of their season; they won 13 games, losing only 3, with only one of those loses coming at home against the New York Giants. Ranked second in passing behind the Saints, the Patriots average just under 320 yards a game, with the best receiver of the league in Wes Welker, who has caught 122 passes for 1569 yards and has scored 9 times, mostly doing the yardage work getting them all the way up to the end zone. Most would argue that Tom Brady is the best overall QB in the game, especially in the 2 minute drills, although it has taken him longer to get hot in most games this year, but when he does, he is unstoppable.
The Patriots are Un-doughtily the better team in this match up and as much luck as the Broncos have had this year, this game will come down the last minute decisions in the pocket that will make the difference, and that is not taught or studied, it only comes with time and experience, something Tom Brady has a lot off. The Patriots are -14 in this game and like week 15 when both of these teams meet the Patriots will show the Broncos why they simply are not ready yet. |
