The European Challenge Tour has just started its season and there is no better way that to come out and win the first event because that for starters puts you at the top of the money list and second it provides a great confidence booster. |

With the win Kieffer was rewarded 32,000 Euros and it was his first win on the Challenge Tour which comes in right behind the European Tour when the bigger stars play and it is the dream and goal for every player on the Challenge tour to make it out onto the European Tour. There is no doubt that with this win Kieffer just boosted his chances a long way and it makes it all so sweeter with it being his first win on the tour. The closest he had come to lifting a trophy on the Challenge Tour was last year at the Allianz Challenge when he lost in a play off to a fellow German by the name of Nicolas Meitinger and Kieffer is now the ninth German to conquer an event on this tour. The only thing that is odd about this win for Kieffer is that he along with all the other players will have to wait to around March to play their next event which will be the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Classic and it will be interesting to see how many of the players make the trip across the big pond to participate in that event. The other interesting thing will be to see how his game is when he gets to play again, of course he won`t go all this time without playing professional he will look to play some smaller circuits or try to see if he can get into some of the European Tour events or maybe even look into the Sun Shine Tour. The reason why it is important to keep playing competitive is to keep the rhythm going and to keep working on the swing and confidence. |
